Perinatal Counseling

Perinatal is a word that signifies the time around childbirth. Perinatal counseling is a type of mental health support for women who are pregnant or are up to 1-year postpartum. Those who have been struggling to conceive for at least 1 year or have experienced loss from miscarriage, stillbirth, or death of an infant, are also encouraged and welcome to partake in perinatal counseling. The partner of a pregnant person can share or have their own concerns that may benefit from perinatal counseling. This behavioral health specialty is available through the office at Meadville OB/GYN Associates (MOGA).
