Additional Info: Rho (D) Immune Globulin injection is given if mother is a candidate for Rhogam. If indicated, further testing will result in additional charges. It will be reported if mother is not a candidate for Rhogam. It is recommended that Rhogam be given as soon as possible after exposure of Rh positive neonate or if the Rh type is unknown.

RHOPP (order set) includes Rhogam product, ABO, Rh, antibody screen, and fetal screen.

Specimen Requirements:
SAMPLE MUST ARRIVE WITHIN 4 HOURS OF DRAW.
1 pink-top (EDTA) tube (minimum: 3.0 mL of EDTA whole blood) drawn AFTER fetal delivery. Forward promptly at room temperature only.
NOTE:
SST tube is not acceptable.
Do not centrifuge.
