Protein Electrophoresis, Urine

Additional Info: Test includes total protein, albumin, alpha 1, alpha 2, beta, gamma, and pathology interpretation

Methodology: Spectrophotometry and Electrophoresis

Specimen Requirements: 30 mL from a random urine collection in a urine sample cup supplied by Meadville Medical Center. Refrigerate specimen after collection.

NOTE:

• Preserved urine is unacceptable.
• 24 hour specimen is no longer accepted for this test.

Analytical Time: 2 days

Days Set Up: Monday through Friday
