Specimen Requirements:
1 lavender-top (EDTA) tube (minimum: 1.0 mL of EDTA plasma) AND 1 yellow-top SST tube (minimum: 1.0 mL of serum). Centrifuge SST after serum has clotted and store refrigerated. Store lavender-top at room temperature after collection. Deliver to MMC laboratory ASAP after collection.
EDTA PLASMA STABILITY WHEN SEPARATED AS FOLLOWS:
Room Temp 2 DAYS, Refrigerated 3 DAYS, Frozen 6 months.

- Specimens MUST be received by MMC lab on same day of collection.
- BOTH serum and plasma specimens are required for analysis.
