Leptospira DNA Qualitative PCR

Useful For: PCR can be used to rapidly diagnose Leptospirosis, an infection caused by a waterborne spirochete of the genus Leptospira. In addition, testing of blood, CSF, and urine may give an indication of the stage of infection.

Methodology: Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction

Specimen Requirements:
5 mL urine (minimum: 1 mL) frozen

Analytical Time: 2-4 days

Days Set Up: Monday Wednesday Friday
