Specimen Requirements:
1 tan-top (lead-free sodium heparin) tube (minimum: 1.0 mL of whole blood). Refrigerate specimen after collection.
NOTE:
• Heavy Metal Information form must be completed and sent with specimen.
• Royal blue-top (EDTA) Monoject® tube is also acceptable.
• Lavender capillary tube is also acceptable if necessary (minimum: 0.5 mL of whole blood).
• Clotted or viscous specimens are not acceptable.
