Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), Low/High Risk

Additional Info:
This test includes Low and Intermediate/High Risk Profile, and is not a screening device for the presence of HPV.

Useful For:
HPV is the causative agent of cervical dysplasia and cervical carcinoma.

Methodology: Hybrid Capture

Specimen Requirements: Collect specimen prior to colposcopy.

“Thin Prep”
Collect specimen using a broom-type collection device and place in Thin Prep PreservCyt solution according to the manufacturer’s instructions. (8.1 mL container; minimum 4.1 mL) Store specimen at room temperature after collection.

Cervical Sample
Collect using Digene DNA with Pap ™ kit as directed. NOTE: Cervical swabs are NOT acceptable. Store specimen at room temperature after collection.

Cervical Biopsy
Collect 2-5 cu. mm (minimum: 2 cu. mm) sterile cervical biopsy and place in a sterile leakproof container containing 1 mL of Digene Specimen Transport Medium. Freeze specimen after collection.

Analytical Time: 7 days

Days Set Up: Monday through Friday
