Methodology: Gas Chromatography/ Mass Spectrophotometry, Gas-Liquid Chromatography (GLC), Liquid Chromatography and Enzyme-Multiplied Immunoassay Technique (EMIT)
Specimen Requirements: 30 mL from a random urine (minimum: 20 mL of urine) collected following the “chain of custody” procedure. “Chain of custody” collection kits are available from Meadville Medical Center Laboratory. No preservative. Refrigerate specimen after collection.
NOTE:
• The chain-of-custody collection procedure is required, as well as the requisition being filled out accurately.
• No specimen substitutions.
• No STATs are accepted for this procedure.
