Methodology: Kinetic interaction of microparticles in solution (KIMS)

Specimen Requirements: 1 plain, red-top tube (minimum: 1.0 mL of serum). Patients on oral medication are to be drawn 15 minutes prior, or 12 hours after the dose. Patients on I.V. therapy are to have the specimen drawn 15 minutes prior or 6-12 hours after I.V. dose. Centrifuge red-top within 30 minutes after draw. Refrigerate specimen after collection.

NOTE:
FREEZE if unable to be analyzed within 48 hours.
SST tube is not acceptable.
Samples containing Digibind are not acceptable. The Digoxin sample may be collected AFTER Digibind is completely cleared from the body.

Analytical Time: 1 day
