Meadville Medical Center (MMC) announced today its plan to acquire five physician practices from Steward Medical Group to preserve access for thousands of patients in the region. We expect the transaction to close on or around January 1, 2025.
“I am thrilled to see Meadville Medical Center work so diligently to preserve these services in our communities. Losing these providers would have a significant negative impact on the thousands of patients they treat,” stated Senator Michele Brooks. “We are pleased with this transition as it keeps these excellent providers in our community and aligned with Sharon Regional Medical Center,” said Robert Rogalski, President Sharon Regional Medical Center.
The five practices with providers are:
- Hubbard Medical Group, 880 West Liberty Street, Hubbard, OH 44425
- Jean Wilson, DO
- Brookfield Internal Medicine, 7264 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, OH 44403
- David D’Amore, MD
- Melissa Moss, APRN
- Sharon Family Practice, 62 Strawbridge Ave, Sharon, PA 16146
- Gregory George, MD
- Hermitage Family Practice & Internal Medicine, 2425 Garden Way, Suite 102, Hermitage, PA 16148
- Daniel Bee, DO
- Gregory Meisner, DO
- Jay Porter, DO
- Tonya Telesz, CRNP
- Mercer Family Medicine Center, 551 Greenville Road, Mercer, PA 16137
- Scott Morgan, MD
- Stacey Joslin, PA
Patients should see no change to the operation other than a name change to each practice, new signage and possibly new phone numbers. Information will be sent to patients if the phone number does change.
“We have worked as quickly as possible to get this deal done so patients didn’t see an interruption to their services. We look forward to partnering with these practices and their providers to continue offering primary care services in Mercer County and Ohio,” stated Gabrielle Pierce, Vice President Physician Services, Meadville Medical Center.
