Courtney McGovern received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Edinboro University, from where, along with Clarion University, she also obtained her Master of Science in Nursing and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She previously worked at other hospitals as a telemetry/surgical nurse as well as in maternity, pediatrics, and neonatal intensive care. She served as a nursing instructor at Edinboro University and worked as a hospitalist CRNP at Meadville Medical Center before joining
Infectious Disease and Travel Health.
